Cabin in the Garden

It's already June, but the gardens at the Cobean House are water logged and not very colorful yet. This little quilt has plenty of flowers, however, added to a small log cabin using the broderie perse technique. Broderie perse is really a fancy way of saying 'cut and paste! It's one of the classes I teach and a lot of fun.

Every quilter should make a log cabin at some point: this cute mini is a great way to get one done. Of course, you could add a plain or even a floral print border, but give the broderie perse a try.
