Look what just landed in my mailbox!

This is what the quilt in my previous post would look like in fresh, modern fabrics using strips instead of my technique with squares (which I think is quicker:).

It's so true: the fabrics make the quilt! I love taking a traditional pattern and working it up in modern color choices or the other way around.  Next time you look at a pattern, in a magazine or in your quilt shop, try to visualize it in completely different colors from the sample.
